Appearance inspection:
1. Check the surface of the heater: Check if there are any signs of damage, deformation, corrosion, or discoloration on the outer shell of the heater. If there is damage, it may affect the sealing and safety of the equipment, and should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
2. Check the connection part: Check whether the connection between the air duct heater and the air duct is tight, whether there is looseness, air leakage or air leakage. If the connection is found to be loose, tighten the bolts or replace the sealing gasket.
3. Check the heating element: Observe whether the heating element is damaged, broken, deformed, or dusty. Damaged heating elements need to be replaced in a timely manner. Excessive dust accumulation can affect heating efficiency and should be cleaned.
Electrical system inspection:
1. Check the power line: Check if the power line is damaged, aged, short circuited, or has poor contact. Ensure good insulation of the power cord and secure connection of the plug and socket.
2. Measure insulation resistance: Use an insulation resistance meter to measure the insulation resistance of the heater, which should meet the specified requirements of the equipment. Generally speaking, the insulation resistance should not be less than 0.5 megohms. If it is lower than this value, there may be a risk of leakage, and the cause needs to be investigated and repaired.
3. Check the control circuit: Check if the temperature controller, fuses, relays, and other control components are working properly. The temperature controller should be able to accurately control the heating temperature, the fuse should work normally at rated current, and the contacts of the relay should have good contact.
Running status check:
1. Startup check: Before starting the air duct heater, the ventilation system should be checked for normal operation to ensure sufficient air flow in the air duct. Then turn on the power and observe whether the heater starts normally, whether there are any abnormal sounds or vibrations.
2. Temperature check: During the operation of the heater, use a thermometer to measure the temperature inside the air duct, check whether the temperature rises uniformly, and whether it can reach the set temperature value. If the temperature is uneven or cannot reach the set temperature, it may be caused by heating element failure or poor ventilation.
3. Operation parameter check: Check whether the operating current, voltage and other parameters of the heater are within the normal range. If the current is too high or the voltage is abnormal, it may be a fault in the electrical system, and the machine should be stopped for inspection in a timely manner.
